We gave Charles the go ahead to re-do most of the downstairs flooring in our home. He guided my wife with the best choice of color and style. All of the old flooring and tile was removed on Monday. I found out about Charles from a friend and when I reached out he was very helpful and the nicest guy ever. We had Charles and his team remove the old tile and replace it with luxury vinyl plank flooring. The team did a fantastic job! Here's what I liked: - Always called me back and communicated. I ordered my flooring from Flooret, and they delayed the delivery a couple of times. Each time I had to coordinate a new potential schedule. Charles always worked around that constraint and followed up. - The job was quick and scheduling happened fast. One of my biggest concerns for this project is having flooring delivered followed by a long delay to install (it is a small place, so having flooring laying around for weeks would have been a challenge). I also have a newborn - so having construction for several days wouldn't be ideal either. The job was scheduled quickly and they finished in a couple of days. The guys doing the job always showed up on time (actually always early) and they hustled. They also cleaned up after. - Fair price. We got an estimate quickly and the final bill was for what we had agreed (or really within range). Home Style Design (HSD) has completed a very extensive master bath remodel, and new counter top and sinks in a second bath as well as the installation of engineered hardwood flooring in 4 bedrooms. We were referred HSD by a neighbor who had had them remodel their master bath. Our adventure with HSD started with the owner Charles surveying our existing baths. We then met Charles in his showroom in Upland Ca. Charles was extremely knowable in all design aspects and was very helpful in picking the style and quality of the material to be used. A competitive quote to perform the work and a start date and task duration were provided, and we accepted. The remodeling was extensive approximately 1 month to complete. My experience with Charles of Home Style Designs started with the torrential rains in March of 2023. Gutters were clogged and the overflowing water started running down my front door and into the drywall, ultimately ending downstairs. After hiring a remediation company to rip out all the damage I was on the hunt for a contractor to fix the damage. I needed someone to replace insulation, drywall, paint, fix/replace required trim, and install new flooring (Coretec). I got A LOT of quotes but price was only half of the requirements. In addition to a reasonable price, I needed a contractor I could trust. I had heard too many horror stories stories of contractors dragging out work or not being responsive or just doing shoddy work. None of these were issues with Charles. His workers went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work they did and often did additional work to make things look more seamless since they had to combine the new work so it looked the same as the old work. Originally I had a budget and Charles was more than realistic and gave me a great quote (which was much more reasonable than all of the other contractors I received quotes from). I ultimately ended up choosing a flooring brand that was more expensive because I wanted a particular color and the reputation behind that flooring. Charles accommodated and the quote did go up but based on the pricing I was seeing if I bought it myself, it was more than comparable (plus I didn’t have to learn how to install it myself!).
